Data deletion requests

You can request deletion of personal data associated with your Social Maze account. This page explains the process, what we remove, and the limited cases where we may still need to retain records.

Last updated: July 16, 2026

Submit your request

Email us from your registered address and use the subject line Data Deletion Request.

Expected timing

We aim to acknowledge requests within 72 hours and complete verified deletion requests within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations.

How it works

The process is straightforward. We verify ownership first, then carry the deletion request through the relevant systems.

01

Send the request

Email our privacy team from the address tied to your Social Maze account and use the subject line "Data Deletion Request".

02

Verify ownership

We may ask you to confirm account ownership before deleting anything. This prevents unauthorized requests.

03

Deletion is processed

Once verified, we remove the relevant personal data from active systems and queued deletion workflows.

04

Final confirmation

We send a final confirmation with the completion status and note any data we were legally required to retain.

What we delete

Once a verified request is processed, we remove personal data associated with your use of Social Maze from active systems and scheduled deletion jobs.

  • Account profile information, including name, email, and workspace membership
  • Connected social account access tokens stored for publishing and inbox access
  • Scheduled content, drafts, publishing history, and workflow records
  • Inbox conversations, comments, and internal collaboration notes stored in Social Maze
  • Analytics views, exported reports, and workspace-level reporting preferences
  • Support conversations and account administration records tied to your identity

What we may retain

In limited cases, we may retain specific records where law, security, or regulatory obligations require it.

Financial and tax records

Where required by law, billing and transaction records may be retained for accounting and compliance purposes.

Security and abuse logs

We may retain limited logs for fraud prevention, account security, and platform abuse investigations.

Legal hold information

If we are subject to a legal obligation, dispute, or regulatory preservation duty, some records may be retained until that obligation ends.

Third-party platforms and Meta-connected accounts

Social Maze may store connection data needed to work with third-party platforms, but those platforms remain separate services with their own data and content.

Removing your Social Maze account revokes our stored access to connected platforms.

Content already published to Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads, or other external platforms remains on those services until removed there.

If you want previously published content deleted from a platform, you must also delete it directly from that platform.

This page also serves as a public data deletion instruction URL for Meta-connected applications. If you connected Facebook or Instagram through Social Maze and want associated Social Maze-held data removed, email privacy@socialmaze.co and include the account details needed to identify the workspace.
